Privacy Policy
How the 6th ASUP International Conference secretariat handles your personal data. Last updated 4 August 2026.
1. What we collect
Your name, title, gender, email address, phone number, institution, location, attendance preferences, accommodation and dietary requirements, any paper you upload and any payment receipt you upload.
2. Why we collect it
To process your registration and payment, allocate accommodation and catering, review submitted papers, issue badges and certificates, and contact you about the conference.
3. Storage and security
Data is stored in an access-controlled database with row-level security. Only authorised secretariat administrators can view participant records. Uploaded files are held in private storage.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your data. Payment details are handled by Paystack under their own privacy terms. Data is disclosed to third parties only where required by law.
5. Retention
Participant records are retained for up to five years for conference reporting, accreditation and certificate reissue purposes, then deleted.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing asup@akwaibompoly.edu.ng. We respond within thirty days.
